Malayalam super star Prithviraj marriedto Supriya Menon a BBC journalist from Palakkad of Kerala. Supriya has been working as Business correspondent for BBC in India, she was concentrated more to Mumbai. The couple have been dating for more than 4 years since they met at the location of Tamil movie.


Prithviraj's marriage was very much a private function at Thenkurishi KandathHeritage resort in Palakkad, hardly 45 person including close relatives and few friends of the couples were present for the marriage, media was not allowed to the marriage venue. Thiruvananthapuram: The young Malayalam super star Prithviraj is getting ready to marry a Mumbai based television journalist.

According to the latest buzz,the super star has fallen in love with B.B.C World Mumbai news journalist.He met her more than a year back when she was reporting for B.B.C World about south cinema.Rumours says that every weekend Prithviraj used to fly in to Mumbai to meet her.

A source closed to Mallika Sukumaran, Prithviraj’s mother has given green signal for the wedding.Sources also reveal that the actor will have a very private wedding in April 2011 after the release of his most awaited film ‘Urumi’.After marriage he is also planning a grand reception in his home town of Thiruvananthapuram for film industry and his fans.

Tamil and Malayalam film actor Prithviraj tied the knot to Supriya Menon on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Thenkurissi Heritage Villa, Palakkad, India. Supriya works as a news reporter for BBC news and stays in Mumbai.

The ceremony was very low-profile with only close relatives and friends of the couple attending it in the presence of mother Mallika Sukumaran and brother-actor Indrajit. Reportedly around 50 people were present.

The Thenkurissi Heritage Villa resort was turned into a fortress and nobody other than those with 'special identity cards' were allowed to attend the wedding.

The couple had met a year ago while Supriya was reporting on the South Indian film industry. Prithviraj frequently travelled to Mumbai to meet Supriya.

A grand reception has also been planned in Thiruvananthapuram on May 1, 2011. According to reports Prithviraj has already booked a banquet hall of Le-Meridian in Ernakulam for the grand reception.
